在新冠肺炎疫情期間，我們支援醫護行者回應醫護、心理和社區三方面的需要，以及支援受疫情影響而首當其衝的低收入家庭，包括在職貧窮人士、少數族裔社群的賦權工作。約100個被評為高風險的家庭獲邀參加第一道防線的保護，具體支援包括購買新鮮糧食的現金津貼以及健康衛生教育資訊。有家人感到有精神壓力的家庭則參與第二道防線行動，他們接受心理輔導和學習壓力管理，藉以加強個人自我照顧的能力。第三道防線為醫食同行計劃，由接受培訓的街坊一起創造互助平台，在社區裡推廣健康。 項目目標 提供適時的監察和支援低收入家庭紓解不夠食物和精神壓力的負面影響。 鼓勵低收入家庭參與和提升能力，藉以增加他們的健康意識和知識，促使他們作出行為上的改變。 激勵和動員在職貧窮和少數族裔人士發揮互助精，加強社區抗逆能力和協助他們共建健康的社群。

因COVID-19疫情而實施的各種限制措施，令很多非政府機構及社會企業的營運陷入窘境。擇善基金會藉此機會就資助創意產業的方針作出了檢討，並向黑暗中對話(香港)基金會撥出一筆無條件的資助，這項撥款足以支持該機構一年的財政開支。這資助項目確立了擇善在公民社會和籌募生態系統中致力推動多元文化的角色，同時彰明擇善的長遠願景—–維護慈善事業的生態環境，以助當中的機構和持份者發揮更大的社會效益。 黑暗中對話（香港) 基金會用了超過十年時間發展出成功的社企運作模式——結合視障人士受業和才能培訓兩者，經過多年努力，有效地促使非政府組織和商界的共融意識提高； 而弱勢社群在這平台上亦得到充權。 這種營運模式是推動共融、平等和多元的有效策略，值得持續推行。此外，擇善的資助亦有助黑暗中對話提升發展能力，發展新的線上平台以擴大月捐者的人數基礎，並且創出更多元化的項目。上述各方面的進步將令黑暗中對話加強實力去接觸和培訓更闊的目標群體，拓大業務規模和發揮長遠的社會效益。 香港目前欠缺靈活的資助計劃支援社會企業的一般運作和能力建設，大部分社企沒有接受政府資助，不論在疫情的非常時期抑或平時都面對資源緊絀的情況。擇善希望這次資助可以在慈善事業界成為案例，催化其他機構的類似項目出現。 有關我們資助的考量，可詳閱「我們的方針」。 截至2021年2月，黑暗中對話不單再次轉虧為盈，達到收支平衡，亦透過新近推出的線上工作坊而接觸新的客群。
