GO BACK TO MAP
Believing that universities have the institutional and social responsibility to make changes to the betterment of society, ZeShan supported the "First Summit on University Social Responsibility" held in mid-November, 2012. First of its kind in Hong Kong, the event was co-organized by the China Institute of Education Policy and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) to exchange about current practices and future directions for university social responsibility (USR).

The two-day event was part of the PolyU’s 75th anniversary celebration and attracted over 200 representatives of universities from Hong Kong, mainland China, Taiwan and overseas. On behalf of ZeShan, Mr. Roy Chen, Grants Committee member, spoke at the opening ceremony. Roy addressed the significance of promoting and practicing USR in the education sector in brining social changes. Presidents from participating universities made a joint declaration on USR at the conference. The event demonstrated impressive momentum in the recent development of Chinese university community and social responsibility programs.
